yeah one of my favorite so far, can't wait to see your texturing man. Those new skulls are definitely wayyyyyyy better (they are perfect now imo . I liked the bones but I love the metal bracers too, gogo!
Yeah, I realized after that last post that you may have intended it to be held together in some way with the bones, in which case the straps make more sense. Bobo likes it, and that's all that matters. :P
Have you tried slightly larger heads on the pins? Might give them a little more feeling of strength.
A few hammer marks and a little bit of damage on the straps might be in order. Not too much though. That would actually be a nice touch on the pins. Make them look like they've been roughly peened out.
Thank you very much everyone for the support!!
Sorry for the late response, finally managed to make the low poly, and after some struggle, the actual tri count is 1712, it was like 1650 before, but had serious problems with the eyes of the main skull and put some more geo there...do you guys think i crossed the line too much?
I`ll leave you some screens with the low poly and the baked 512 x 512 normal map, now the eyes glow is in the texture too yay!. There are some smoothing errors, i marked with red the most noticeable, the difusse texture covers it a bit, so may be is not that bad, dunno, maybe i`ll just separate those polys with a smooting group, and rebake...
I`ll leave an image with a simple difuse too, it`s just my cavity and occlusion maps over some base colors i did very quick, just getting some ideas, i`ll post more color designs tomorrow i`m tired right now and need some sleep. If you have suggestions for colors i`ll be glad to hear!! Cheers!
I knew i was going to use purple or blue with gray and black from earlier color tests as you can see in a post below, just changed gray for something lighter an yellowish as AimBiz sugested and made countless color distribution tests even with browns, greens, reds etc. and it didn`t look good. I just ended up very tired to make more color proposals for you guys, an apologize for that
This turned out pretty kickass. Imho here's only a handful of entries that really captured the DSII feel in both the shapes, and the texture. I think yours is certainly one of them.
Love the chunkiness and simplicity. Reads well and stands out in a crowd if you ask me.
Very good modeling, just let me put a constructive suggestion about colours. The esthetic of darksiders may be dark, but its colors are striking. About your final result, your grey metal seems much plan. why don't try to contrast more? and and some spots colors to add variation instead of grey, like oxidation for instance? Anyway, goodwork.

Betta get started on that low poly though.

Dunno about your smoothing problem. Are these parts overlapping in the uv-map but not mirrored? That might be a cause anyway.
For colour I think I'd rather see this in brownish colours but purble is pretty nice as well but change the gray to a yellowish tint maybe?
Solid progress as usual though. Hope you finish this!
good textures and nice weight in the design
This came out really well. I'm curious what made you choose those colours?
