Currently starting some extra portfolio pieces. I have a love for vintage science fiction and also pimps in zoot suits. So i have two characters in mind both modeled after actors.

The first character is of the actress Rachel McAdams as a Space Starlet Pinup, and here is reference for her body and face:



The second character is of the actor Obba Babatunde as a Zoot Suit Gangster, and this is reference for his body and face (as well as a sketch i did to understand his facial details better. Inspiration for him came from the Black Dynamite movie where he played a pimp.

This is my current progress on Obba Babatunde's face, and a body type. I wish i could get better reference for his body type but he is pretty much in the same poses and in a suit all the time. When i put hair on him i will post again so there will be a better comparison.

For now though i really like his thick/fit body type and i think it will work for the character i am gonna do.
