sculpting trees in zbrush

Hi,I am having problems sculpting the tree bark details,can someone show me how?The final output should look spooky and twirly.:(

Well find a nice ref pic and follow that, I would probably use the clay brush and different masks on that, and a custom brush for cracks and such
