Hello,
I have a brick wall and a concrete ground. Now I want to have a smooth transition between both.
How is this usually solved? Should I attach both objects into one and then paint the texture so that it transitions nice, or is it possible to have a nice transition without having both objects as one?
Also this is a modular piece. How can I make the tiled texture more interesting without having to assign each object its own new texture? decals?
Ah, and the last question: I baked the Normalmaps but the bricks still look pretty flat. Should I use tesselation or parallax mapping? (Never used these before). Is it possible to use these in 3ds max?
Later I want to export my objects to the CryEngine. What should I use therefore?

also, add ao to your post effects, will make edges like this a lot more believable
Do you know of any vertex painting tutorials for the CryEngine?
