I'm currently taking a week's break from my Sci-fi Subway environment to work some more on an environment I started a couple of weeks ago but never finished to my liking. So I did some cleaning, removed what I disliked, and kept what I thought I could salvage, and jumped back on the horse.
This is my "concept", a screenshot from the game Mirror's Edge [EA Digital Illusions CE / 2008] (No copyright infringement intended):
Small update; changed some proportion issues. I've also added some more lighting. I'll try to get some placeholder props in as soon as possible, to get a better feel for the space.
Another update; tweaked some more stuff in general. Threw in some flat color on the rails and beams. Played around some more with the lighting as well. Any comments are welcome!
I dunno how your gonna get the Lighting the same but i would surgest a height fog outside and a cube map of a building, so that the building you are facing is reflecting another one Good luck!
Long time no update, but now I'm finally trying to finish this environment. Some stuff left to do, including the spotlights for the ceiling and some lighting tweaks. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I think the chairs and couches are way too big. Scale them down, rough guess is .75 of their current size. Apart from that, the scene's missing something. Details, perhaps. Something that breaks the symmetry which is kind of annoying to me.
agree with above and its not just the props... alot of the scene could be better proportioned to give a sleeker look, when your dealing in simple shapes composition is all important

Looks perfect
Maybe shadows are a bit better in the game though
