This demonic axe is fantastic. You could try to fit it to proxy weapon and grab the proportions, I wonder how it will look then, also probably you will have to thing about some variations at the longer handle.
Anyway looking really good, waiting for more
yeah I like your redesign better it has this bulkier feel to it which fits the darksiders style a lot more! also i love the second organic demon axe but i feel like the end of the axe isnt as defined as the rest of the weapon. keep up the great work your art is a real inspiration!
This new beastie is far more interesting and stands out much stronger amongst the competition. We're going to have enough twisted demon-face crescent axes to arm every fiend in hell at this rate. You're headed in a much more intriguing direction now I think.
I like the way this is going. I do however think the eye area lost some of its intensity in the colour version. I think the circle is making it a bit too soft. I think something that emulates a brow and cheek bone shape might be better.
Oh no the eye is gone bring it back just fit it in better, or you gotta fill the empty circle with something...rock/gem with a rune on it or something. The pummel and handle are ok. Do you think you could make the handle be that creature texture?
So ladies and gents, after much consideration, I went back to square one. I didn't really like the feel of the weapon, and I felt like I was trying to make due with what I had, rather than just starting over.
Sky: Thanks for the comments! Yeah, I planed on changing up the materials and using different things to try to break up the model as a whole. I def took your advice on the next iteration. Bone metal and cloth are my materials so far, but that might change too lol.
BlvdNights, AimBiz, Markus Omega, Xenier, and Bobo: Thanks all such much guys for the kind words, and the eye was giving me issues. I kinda felt like it looked like droopy dog or something, kinda sleepy, not much passion to the open mouth, and not to mention it doesn't look like it would transition to 3d very well. I felt like I was letting my hand go free, without any 3d in mind. Bobo, thanks for the paint over and I totally agree, the Sci-Fi feel didn't sit well with me either. Not to mention that the color scheme was the same as the Crow Legion I think. Thanks again on the paint over, the Micro details of the bolts would def get lost, I really appreciate it brotha!
Thanks again to you all
Update:
I have more to work on, but this is the new and final direction. I plan on doing multiple weapons.
I agree with Bobo with the big bolts it will make it look more awesome. Also you should make the bottom part more like a horn that a diamond shape spike but thats just me XD. Other than that good work and can't wait for the 3D model
Holy hell that is badass! I really like the new design. I do feel the bottom danglie is a bit off though, everything else is so sharp and jagged, and it's so round and smooth.
I like this concept a lot! The asymmetric design is great looking. I would suggest making the pummel reflect the asymmetry even more towards the other side to balance it out a bit. I can't wait to see you start modeling this badass out.
Wow, very awesome concept. I really like the strong angular shapes and silhouette. This is one of the best designed axes, really lookin forward to the 3d!
Good thing Death is....well, Death, cause that axe-head is HUGE. It looks awesome though, I know you'll do the 3D justice. Can't wait for the update man!

More design changes to come after lunch.

Here is an update, I decided to go with the right one, which variation do you guys like better?
Redesigned my weapon, not diggin the old stuff, I felt like the style didn't fit.
I'm liking this better...
New update before bed. Long day Thanks so much for the comments guys! I am coming back!
Gibson! It has been a minute man, I will be watching your thread as well
Update before work. I am making sure the model will work in 3d better, thus trying to clean up the randomness.
I did a quick paint-over. Try using overlapped bolted plates. Make the bolts bigger.
