I think the blade design on the left one is a much stronger. The right one looks like the face has a moustache. :P

Yeah, definitely go with the left one, although I would use the right blade of the second one.

This is pretty cool. Is it just me or could the face be a lot bigger? It doesn't really stand out from a distance.

really liking the feel of this, perhaps some runes along the blades or a second smaller face contorted by the right blade

Thanks guys for the feed back, I ditched the right one. I tried something else as far as design but kept the shapes, I rather like it how it is.

I still think you should incorporate a face on that blade. I liked what you had going on the first one, just needed some better placement.

I like the general shape of the blade you got now. Could almost be angelic actually.

Hmm Thanks Aim I went back to the first design and played around with it.

I'm going with my first attempt with some modifications. I included another sketch I did.

LOVE the shapes you've got going on here. They've got a nice sense of weight and chunk to them, which fits right into the DS style. Keep it up, looking forward to progress!

Seems like you're going for a "stretched flesh" look, but I think even in this case less nose and more nasal cavity might push it more towards darksider style.
