I don't do to many weapons, but I love Darksiders and I love the art from it. With that said, if the creation of this thread wasn't obvious enought....imma give this a go.

I don't really have a hole hell of a lot of time to iterate on designs so I'm already putting myself at a disadvantage. Anyway, here's the direction I'm headed. Just a simple sketch up and paint over.

I will probably be messing with the pose of the cloaked angel figures they are quite stiff right now. Maybe give them more of an action-y pose? Perhaps pushing on the shields? Or maybe a more defensive shield blocking pose. The shaft needs scaled down too.

Looks good Rob, I think it would be cool if the angles were holding dangeling insence could look cool and mysterious.

Its looking great so far. I would of preferred larger wings though. Keep it going.

thanks Di$array, I'll try some scale variations tonight. I'm going to be changing the shape of the wing too. I just don't like it as much as i do in the concept. I think its to curvy on top and I want it looking straighter.

the only thing i would change is the rings around the grip. in my opinion the hard straight edges fall away from the other elements and tend towards the maker style
