I think my second post ever and first contest so lets give this a go. I currently have no heading but I seem to be attracted more towards the Kingdom of the Dead style and the Crow Temple style so here's what my thoughts are up to now.

Thanks, anyone got any suggestions?, im thinking of adding some skulls, leather handle, spikes, and bone looking bug arms like in the concept drawing.

the idea for the big blade is to incorporate bone and metal into a giant blade that on the other side turns back into a metal blade with runes suggesting that the blade was taken over by bone

OK, so for this redesign step a few things have changed but i'm currently in a block for what the end result for the hilt and pummel will be but this so far in my opinion is sorta gonna be close to the done concept.

one of my friends pointed out an issue with the neck design here's the fix

Dig the new direction. The next time you take this into sculpt, really work on keeping your shapes sharp and crisp. You got a little blobby with your last one.

I like the new axe design thought the first one where the handle meets the head looked like it could be easily snapped off, nice .

Latest concept looks fantastic. I could only suggest removing one neck bone and make this element shorter in that way. Now probably handle grip area is shorter than in proxy weapon. Also you could try making knob/tip of the handle bigger, so it will provide better balance for weapon.

DJ_Aaron | Than you, my friend and I had like a 2 hour conversation as to how the neck should and could be and this was my answer.

Konras | Thank you. I saw what you mean when i was doing the re-sketch but i haven't done a scale test yet on the new concept since its not done yet, but a close solution would be to reduce the distance between the joints ans that will help but from the beginning the neck was intended to be longer than the neck in the proxy just so that it scaled better when the weapon was used in game since BoBo mentioned that the neck and the head receive scale modifiers for when used in game.

I need a Little help here deciding. A or B guys and also if you can tell me what ya guys think about the hilt and the pummel that be very welcomed as well.

Haven't had a chance to do much with finals on my back, but i got a little time today to hit up the colors

just finished with the base mesh. currently at 920 tris, left some room to tweak after the high sculpt is done.
