Hey all, here is my concept for my hammer. I was going with the theme of the Darksiders Core. This is actually my first concept and I feel it turned out ok. The head of the hammer is going to made from bone with spikes at the end. The handle is boring, but I was thinking about a twisted look for it. I feel that really fits with the Darksiders theme. The colors are nothing close to what I want to use for the final, just something to break it up.

The more I look at it, it could also pass for an ax, so I think I will square things off to be more like a hammer. Good luck everybody, I know I'll need it, haha.

A lot of the darksiders core weapons have a cool colored palette so get some more blues or purplish colors in there. You could probably can fit in some runes and such if you're going to add more shape to the hammer. I also think you should exaggerate shapes in the pommel and handle.

Here is the update for my hammer. I worked on blocking it out and doing some detail. I like the overall feel for it. May change the bottom of the handle, not sure yet.

Hello all, here is an update to my hammer. Sorry for the not posting in awhile I have been busy. The normals do not really look like much right now, but once I get some color I feel they will pop out better. I had to change the design a little. After trying to retopo it did not work at all so I had to make some changes. Critiques are always welcome. Cheers!

The skull placement seems a bit simple. Is there anything you could do to spice it up or make the skull feel more like a load bearing element?
