Another fantastic strong themed contest dedicated to game content creation. Theme is fantastic, looking at all of those references made me feel so weak, but I decided to try at least. Nevertheless the most important here is the learning process. And for me a concept creation is really a huge pain.
Here is unfinished concept and a simple blockout. Still need to add some twisted form so it will fit better in daemon domain. Greentooth is there for a time being, later sadly it will be replaced with something demonic

the head and the handle look really cool, but to me they look very different form each other in terms of form and feel.
i would suggest to give either the head a more organic, or the handle more forged look.
I kinda agree with the other comments. Maybe the cool idea in the blade could be carried down to the base of the handle, with the growing blue parts. I think that way would be pretty sweet to help unify the elements of the weapon.
Previous handle was really complicated, and because 26 is tomorrow/today i simplified the design
Now just retopo, normals and textures to be done

Moreover max baker won with me... need to spend some more time on setup, because right now without quality normals on it looks ugly because of the symmetrical UV.
Anyway here is a viewport grab with temp normals/diff/spec (quality normals).
Will have to finish it eventually
