03/12 UPDATE first image only



First time on this forum the DS challenge got me here. here are my quick concepts i did today for a crow temple axe



i really like 1,2,3 wondering what you guys think. not sure how im going to do the handle just yet. i was just shooting out some axe heads.

like i said, i think 4 is the one i think looks best. think you could definitely come up with more concepts though. try for a few more man!

after the first one i realized i should get them done faster to get the basics down and not spend to much time on one concept early on. i like 4 and will come up with more or detail these out more tomorrow. but wanted to post my progress. will try to post something everyday.

after matching up the axe heads i figured these would be the only ones that would fit in the hit box.

worked some more on the handle this morning still not sure which head.
#1 to me looks more darksiders #2 i think is a cool concept and #3 looks more crow theme

Another crow temple piece, finally! My favorite idea you have is #4 from your second picture-- but most of the others seem so smooth. Keep in mind that crow temple has a ton of pointy bits, especially on the actual blades; think serrated edges rather than smooth ones.

Thanks ill keep that in mind. Right I'm trying to get the crow body and wing more skeleton like but really the wings dont have bone structure like dragons or demons. But think ill stick with 4 from original concept sheet

i do like the silhouette of the 4th one. cant wait to see the colors on the blades

yeah just hitting a brick wall right now trying to get it to fit the them and still have the cool factor lol but it will be done just a speed bump on the road. thanks guys

doing some brain storming with my fiance and we decided to see what it would look like if i mixed some of the concepts together and this is what we got. keep in mind just concepts but thought they were interesting and might even fit the theme. what do you guys think.

saw this game of thrones cover today and thought the back of the throne would make a good addition to the axe was thinking about adding it as the crow feathers. what do you guys think?

I really like the crow Axe that your doing and maybe you should add more spikes on the top part but make it look like the Image on top. Other than that it looks awesome ^^

Thanks yeah the spikes on top of the crow head were just random fill ins but after seeing the game of throns picture might go that route

Decided to go asymmetric here is my progress from this morning. still wanting to do some jagged wings on the back end of the axe i'll get to those this afternoon
