Hi this is my first time on the forum. wanted to see what you guys think of this axe concept. i wanted to steer more on the demonic side created by muscle, tendon and bone. this is my first time using the forum so if the photo doesn't show up please bare with me :poly141:

i could really see this being a hammer with the face being the front end

lol now i can see it being a hammer. especially thinking of the weight of the thing i would think would be intense here another idea attached with it along with the silhouettes

i like both. the axe is really awesome but like the idea of the hammer aswell im torn. maybe if you have time summit both?

So this is two different pieces? I actually thought we were looking at two elevations of the same item, one from the side, one from the rear. That would make for a really interesting weapon I think, with the front of the white skull being the striking surface, the red skull sitting around the midpoint of the weapon and the blade parts projecting towards the rear.

ive been busy unfortunately but finally was able to model and texture this. i placed and omni light in the scene so it shows normals etc in action. i am still debating on the color. critiques are awesome so tear this to shreds lol

well while i wait for a critque i shall be working on my hammer. i decided to have the skull not to have eyes more of a pinched ripple. im debating if i should have look sharp teeth or regular

so after posting that realized it looked small and more erm. axe like so heres are diff look to it

so heres added femur and spine with it and a size comparison to the template. im not sure what to do for the bottom. possible a bone fist or something.

here is the face idea i was thinking of does and the general look. i will be going into detail. again alittle eh with the colors. the bone im thinking of adding yellows and purples.

It's a pity that noone responded, just saw your thread. To be honest, your stuff doesnt really look like a dark siders themed weapon. Your texturing work is really blurry and I dont think that you worked from a Highpoly sculpt, with baking and such, am I right? Look at al the other entries and the progression threads, you will learn there a lot.

its true. thanks for the input i did wish i got some more responses back but just tried to go with my gut instinct. i was seeing my colors were lacking so i added some different colors. here is some idea of certain color choices
