I can't really decide which program to start learn. I really like Max, it's way to faster than Maya, but i am most interest in movies. So, i started to learn Maya, and it's peace of crap. I haven't see so much bugs and errors than any program. And the modeling techniques in Maya are crap. I have do have PC that can handle Maya, as far as i read the Maya requirements for Max PC.
Then, my friend told me, who has worked in Framestore UK, and have switched to game industry that, VFX isn't stable, you have work for let's say 6 months, after that, you need to pray for god to stay in the company because after that, if there no projects, you have too leave.

And yes, the creative industry isnt know for its job stability.
There's no 20 year careers at one studio in games & movies but if you're good at what you do and good at networking you'll have no problems.
While you are right it's rare to find a long term job like this - it isn't impossible. There are people who are working at the very successful studios like ILM and Valve that have been working there for over 20 years.
But those guys are both very good, and very lucky, by industry standards. And I'm sure they've had to compromise their careers a little bit to stay in one place like that.
Doctors and tenured teachers might be the only exceptions.
