Gonna start on this now so I actually finish it lol
LATEST UPDATE:

I had some free time today so I whipped up this up.
It's a little overweight at 1616 Tris
I dunno if I like it, I'll see when I start sculpting tomorrow.
I think it's a Core Hammer based on the descriptions of the themes.
The head of the hammer is an actual head with the handle jammed in it's mouth
(insert dick joke here)

"he sure can take em big, and lets hope he does it with damage aswell"
the handle is it bone?
But it seems like the head needs balancing; it looks like about 85% of the weight is in the front. Regardless of Darksiders' crazy forms and physics, the form doesn't QUITE follow the function. Perhaps just a little somethin'-somethin' tacked onto the back?

so after screwing around for a long time on the high poly that I ended up throwing out, Ive decided to paint my diffuse first, then paint my normals and spec in photoshop instead of trying to fumble around with a new high poly.
Here's where I'm at.
