I'm assuming demonic and Kingdom of the dead? Not too bad. I'd like to see more of it fleshed out though since the handle can add or detract from the design as well.
Also, it's a major contest. You can be bumped off the front page pretty easily with all the people posting stuff. Keep up the work with updates showing progression and people will comment more often than not.
Ok so i have started the hammer i was wondering if can get get some crits on the directrion im taking this, i do plan on putting more metal spikes and horns, also the teeth wioll be fixed to look alot better but crit anyways. Also i have alot of questions i hope someone can answer, im kind of confused over the bounding box and proportions of this thing, do we have to fill up the entire bounding box, how does the head of the hammer connect to the handle, do they have to be separate, also are we allowed to make our weapon out of a flesh like material?
sculpt is looking nice! one thing though is that you are really outlining all of your shapes on your skulls. something that was mentioned in the live stream last night was to hint at the form and let the viewer fill in the rest. this was mentioned when bobo was doing the skull.
The flesh is probably fine just push it more demonic rather than just a blob creature hanging off the back.
hmmm i rlly contemplating the eye thing, i did the eye kind of to make it scarier, but i see wat u mean. tonight i will fix up the changes then i will make a version without eye and post for everyone to compare to version wit eye
hmmm ive been asking people here and my friends from school and im getting mixed decisions, i think im going to quickly do a version with the ey put have the skin being stretched and pulled from it and make it look nastier and c how that feels...ARGGHHG tuff decisionsd
I like the sculpting that you've done so far, but I think overall your silhouette is a bit weak. From a distance it just looks like a blob. It could use a bit more mixture of hard and organic lines.
keep pushing the silhouette. If you do the stretched skin. Give some flat skin areas for rest. also make sure you are giving the skin stretch lines a point of origin. make them converge.
Ok so im going to mess with the silohoutte a bunch and make a bunch of changes and post all the versions to compare, but for now i did a drawing of kind of a possibility for changes, i might add horns or spike like stuff punching through the shell and possilby little teeth or throns through the skin, as foir silohoute changes the skull at the back i plan to make bigger, will have btter update later tonight
OK IM CONFUSED SO IVE BEEN SEEING PEOPLES DESIGNS AND THERE STUFF LOOKS LIKE IT IS WAY BIGGER THAN THE BOUNDING BOXES! ARE WE ALLOWED TO GO BEYOIND THE SIZXE OF THE BOUNDING BOX?????
You can exceed the bounding box of the head in any direction. Just dont go crazy with it.
For the handle, just get as close as possible on the thickness. If its a little thicker, or if it has pieces that break the bounding (like wraps or bone details) it will be ok. The length of the handle can be cheated slightly but not much.

The organic side doesn't seem to match the style of any of the creatures in Darksiders. Perhaps if you made the skull side as large as the organic side currently is, then do something to unify it to the handle?
dam that sux, it going to rlly screw me over to change the weapon at this stage
haha! Sounds like any particular day at the office for a game artist. Don't let it get you down. Iteration is part of the learning process. Think of it this way...instead of getting screwed by the feedback, it's helping you course correct what was not going to work anyway. So it's really not a setback.
Plus, the second time is always better. Remember that one for next time zBrush crashes.

Also, maybe lay off the over sharpness on the skulls, they look like terminator!
