Hello,
I recently found 2 threads about how to make indoor water material and outdoor water material. Problem is, I can't find them now and I don't remember the name of the threads. I tried to search for them in the forum but no luck. The way I found them in the first place, I was browsing the threads and someone was asking a question about water material and somebody gave him those two links.
If anyone can link me to those two threads (I think it was one for indoors and one for outdoors) I would really appreciate it.
Thank you in advance.

Thanks.
I love the internet.

I think they have a DX11 shader setup as well now.
I remember learning how to use materials by looking at that Hourences tutorial, but to be honest, I never liked the results. Most Unreal based games have pretty weird water. I think the panning of normal maps never really gives a good result.
I will try out the HL2 water tomorrow and will post a video if interested.

The water in Half Life 2 was always very pretty, yet completely different in style to other contemporary attempts.
