Alright my first contest here! pretty exciting. So tonight I did a few silhouettes, probably go at it again friday night and hopefully tackle a painting before the weekend is out.

I'm playing around with the different themes right now even though I know I really want to go for demonic, just to have some crazy fun in zbrush. Anyways, here's what I have so far.

Laku

Nice variation in your designs, they fit the themes well. The silhouette of the demonic axe is amazing! It looks like a tiny demon is forcing itself down someone's throat. Keep 'em comin'!

Habboi

Angelic seems pretty generic to me in that it looks like a typical axe you see in games. The other two however have more charm and I quite like the middle one because of the hand. If it were boney or semi-fleshy it could look cool. I also like the tooth shape at the bottom which makes it easy to identify.

Gotta go with the middle one. A nice overlarge fist holding the blade will look awesome.

Id go either Demonic or KOTD. the right is cool but a little generic.

hey thanks for the comments guys, I wasn't feeling the angelic either. I went ahead and sketched out the demonic today and plan to give the kotd one a shot next.

Is that hand supposed to be flesh? Would make more sense to have it all sculpted metal that looks like it's coming alive, like the demonic weapons seem to look like.

That's pretty f**king badass. I love the spikes on the axe blade. But yeah I don't think the hand should be randomly fleshy when everything else is metal. Bone would make more sense to me.

thanks for the comments guys, I'll mess around with making the hand bone again, couple people have already said they liked that better as well. I'm going to play around with some other ideas too.

looking at it now I think ill make the hand bulkier, ended up sort of mashing all of my ideas into one ax here.
