about the status of the plugin at the moment: it's development is still ongoing, but I'm not that good at C++; i merely have a basis in the language syntax, some knowlegde of class hierarchy and inheriting classes, some stuff about functions and pointers but that's about it nothing fancy, so picking apart the SDK has been confusing at times, and hard to say the least
I wouldn't expect any updates to the plugin in the coming week, but I promise that i'm doing my best

@computron: I don't know, but as Xoliul said, a live shader might solve the problem
