Hello,
This is my second post here on Polycount, my first happening to be an art test for my current job here at City State Entertainment. Founded by Mark Jacobs and Andrew Meggs, (yeah, I guess they know videogames
) we are getting ready to release our first game for the iPad within the next few weeks. Working at City State Entertainment has been an incredible experience, and I truly feel lucky to work with our remarkable team.
As a character guy, I've been pretty spoiled here with amazing concept work from our artists. This shifty little dude was cooked up by photoshop ninja Michelle Davies. The snowman is <1100 tris, textured in BodyPaint and rendered with Mental Ray in 3DS Max. We have plenty of characters and promotional art I will be posting over the next few weeks, and will see if I can sneak out some wireframes and texture maps. To learn more about our studio and updates about our sweet game, please visit

Best, mike

Here is another promotional piece from the team at CSE. The big guy was one of our games original designs, done by artist Lucas Feld. Characters are <1200 tris (little guy includes 4 bombs).

Here is another teaser from the CSE team. This emo looking guy was thought up by our newest member, Sandra Pavulaan. And she brings her bearded dragons, Aztec and Inca to work with her! He is is <1300 tris, and I have also uploaded the texture maps from the previous characters. And please don't forget to visit our website, CityStateEntertainment.com!
I will also be uploading a UV Master tutorial, demonstrating how ZBrush has played a valued role in our pipeline. To learn more about our studio and upcoming launch, please visit http://CityStateEntertainment.com!
