Problem with the cloth modifier - 3ds Max 2012

I started creating basic props to get back into modelling, yet I'm encountering this problem with the cloth modifier whilst trying to create a pillow. The seam lines are meant to be vertical on all four sides, yet on two of the sides they aren't. See the screenshot for below a better understand of what I'm talking about.
