I'm not much of a modeler, but I enjoy it. This is my attempt at a low poly barbarian type character. I wanted to rough up some of the armor before posting but I'm running out of steam.
1626 tris ( could be a lot less)
1024x1024 diffuse, intended to be scaled down to 512x512.

You're right it probably should be lower poly for the shape you have. The texture could probably also be scaled down to like 256 or 256x512.
I think his cape and waist-fur needs shadowing around the edges to make it seem more 3-dimensional, and his boots could use a bit more detail. You also have something going on around his waist. It almost looks like a belt, but the texture is really wonky or something.
