Hi i was wondering if anyone has anygood tut's in the field of exporting models and there textures from 3ds max to UDK?
For example i have a dreadnought that i have recently finished and i was going to import it into a scene in udk, i export it as a .fbx (i think its .fbx) but when i import it into udk it is nothing but a shadow.
I mean my meterials are in a multi-sub object and i understand that you have to import them seprutly and add them on but i think im not doing something right cos it either doesnt appear at all or it just casts a shadow. 1 more thing could it be something to do with my shader xoliul shader 2.0 that i have applied?

Start with the official documentation http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/ContentHome.html
You may get better results posting an image of your bugged result. However, you have to build a material in UDK. Just from your description, it almost sounds like your mesh is inverted (flipped normals). If you modeled half, mirrored and attached the two, this is likely the case.
