Hello everyone! I decided to start a sketchbook on here that I'll use as an art dump. I tend to work on multiple stuff at once, so rather than start a bunch of WIP threads, I'll just throw everything in here.
I've mostly done high res and cinematic work in the past, but I'm trying to transition to game art more. Feel free to comment on and critique anything you wish. For more views and info check my website.
Here's some fairly recent stuff (all WIP) to start:
yeah I clicked on this because of your name, freaking love korgoth, also awesome work man haha. I really dig mr incredible too. that first creature is pretty bad ass as well.
Ha, good to know there's some other Korgoth fans out there. Should make him at some point too, seeing as how it is my name and all. Anyway, here's a couple more shots of Mr Incredible:
Thanks guys. Don't worry, I'll make the "Korgoth" at some point.
Decided to throw on some quick UVs, spit out some displace maps, and render Mr Incredible. Doubt I'll texture him, but it's nice to see how some decent lighting looks. Rendering a turntable as well, so I'll post it when its done.
Also, here's a speed sculpt I did the other day. There's more shots and a timelapse on my website if you're interested.
It's been way too long since I posted here. Hopefully I can keep it from happening again.
But anyway, onto some art.
I just finished this Evil Clown recently for a contest over on CGHUB:
And this guy is one of the main characters I made for a Half-Life 2 Mod which is currently in development. If you're interested, you can find more info on it here.
Lastly, I found some creature concept art from ArenaNet's website, and decided to make one of them. Here's a couple WIP shots of the model:
I think that's enough images for now. I've got plenty of others on my website, including a few turntables for these guys, so feel free to check them out there.
Fiend update. Messing with texture still. I also wanted to see if I could structure my pipeline in a way that allows me to easily offer both a real-time version of the creature, as well as a rendered cinematic version.
With that, the first image is a vray render, second is a viewport screengrab.
I've been trying to work on my texturing more over my last couple projects. Here's a couple flat color shots in an attempt to show off the texture a little better.
Besides an adjustment layer to the cavity map, all texturing was painted by hand. No projection images were used.

I think I remember seeing a way to imbed vimeo videos on polycount awhile back. I'll look into it and change it when I find it.
edit: found & fixed
Also have some other projects cooking that I hope to have updates on soon.
