Hello everyone!

This is my first post on polycount; I was waiting till this project was more polished to have it be a more momentous occasion, but I have hit a certain wall, and have decided that I could use any help that you guys may have to offer.

I have been working on creating a painterly aesthetic in the udk through post processing; I want to create the look of impressionist paintings. The ones I'm specifically going for are the Rouen Cathedral series by Monet, which happens to look like this, for anyone unfamiliar:

Now, I have worked on a material for a while now, and have managed to come up with something to destroy edge details, but it is simply too noisy, and it fails to capture the organic brushstroke feel that the image has. This is a video of what I've got, in a blocked out version of my scene:

Here is my shading network(there is more at work than just this network, but this is the network that is destroying the edges):

At this point, I am solidly at an impasse. I need some way to capture colors on the screen and make them blotchy, but I have no idea how to do this. If I could just make this feel more organic, it would look substantially better. So I turn to you: any ideas polycount? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I feel like this has to be right under my nose, and I just don't know it; hopefully someone can guide me to the answer.
