Working on some modular assets for a Chinese style level, all hand painted as is the style of the game, comments and crit would be appreciated

There seems to be something off with the round gate. Maybe it's supposed to look damaged or scratched. What if you added more detail to the damaged edges like cracks, just like the lower part of the wall.

Hmnn you are right, the doorway doesn't look nearly refined enough, and the textures sure

and please ignore the embarrassing amount of wasted space on the archway, I will sort that out!

in my opinion, your main wall texture is still way, way too clean. looks like a solid color fill

I know what you're saying, I just can't seem to get the plaster look right without compromising detail, any ideas?

Do you have a photo reference? I'm not sure about the scratch around the round gate.

Awesome texture work so far.

My only critic would be that it seems to have a feint line of white where it tiles, also those horizontal lines in it really make it noticeable that it's repeating (on the wall anyways).

Although I'm questioning whether the stairs read as stairs :icon_question:
