So I've been wanting to do some streaming when I make art at night. Anyone got a good list of programs, services etc that are by most means free and that let me still own the streaming rights and work shown during the stream?
Thanks!

http://new.livestream.com/ <--- I recommend this, make sure you make proper channel and validate it to have more than 50 audience. after that streaming can be very easy, if you do proper setup in adobe FME.
open adobe flash encoder , once you click stream it would stream right away.
xsplit does everyting I need, can stream up to 1080 provided you have the upload for it, pretty simple to configure screen capture space/overlays etc and works on most streaming sites, as for where to stream I'd recommend twitch.tv
Going to have to second what Ravenslayer/xvampire said here- I've used livestream a couple times and it's incredibly easy to use. The only thing that bugs me about it is there doesn't seem to be a way to track when people start their streams That said- I'd love to see what you'd do Parnell!
Interesting...I was just posting up on FB trying to find a good solution.
I've used Livestream in the past, and it is "supposed to" save a copy of your video to your computer, but my last stream only captured a few random clips here and there. Going to try these other options.
free while in beta and lets you stream to multiple services at once while giving you some essential video mixer features. really awesome program but make sure you have a cpu that can handle it. for those with quad core cpus, you can use affinity to move the VHMultiWriter and xsplitcore processes to separate cores from your art programs for better performance.
as for services, justin.tv is the most liberal in terms of allowed content, as well as probably being the most popular one.
With those who have experience with Justin.tv, are there any limits to video length that it will store on your Channel? I'm looking for a solution to record my class Livestream, but they generally go 2 hours or so and wanted to know if that was going to store them properly or not, or if anyone has had any issues in the past with video lengths.
If you want to record with Justin.tv [take note I've just signed up with it] It allows a limit on how many "Free" recording sessions you can make before you have to pay.

It's really easy and keeps your recordings online for some time.
