Graphic card problems

Hey guys,just wondering if you all can help me.
I bought a graphics card for my computer but the drivers says that it dont recognize any compatible hardware.I uninstalled all the old drivers with no success.But im pretty sure that the problem is cause i thought i didnt have to plug my monitor into my graphics card.

So basically heres my question,would my computer not recognize my graphics card because my monitor isnt plugged into the graphics card?or should it still read it?

It used to be that a monitor needed to be plugged into the graphics card, but I think they fixed that.

ive tried that too,those drivers wont recognize my new graphics card either
