i would like to share the result from my sculpting and texturing practice.
Rock sculpts - ZBrush, baking xNormals, textures combination of AO map, hand painted in Photoshop, photo resources for scratches on the edges, 3DS Max and Xoliul2 Dx Shader.
If I were you I'd embed the images in to your post, you're more likely to get crits if it's easier for people to see the work. Just put instead of the direct link.
i want those rocks! i need those rocks! awesomely detailed!
The only thing that would make them even awesomer would be to end all of them so that they could be used not just sticking from the gound, but rotated as well.
I wish i knew how to sculpt rocks like that..
jordan.kocon - thank you, but i see one million things to fix ;]
Illusive - thank you, i painted the color variations in Photoshop, photos have been used only for scratches and small structures as gray scale overlays
lloyd - i exported semi highpoly mesh from ZB to Max and optimize the mesh to low poly
synergy11 - thank you, i started these sculpts from very simple base mesh, used Flatten, Dam standard and TrimDynamic and TrimDynamicB with square alpha
okimoki - thank you, these rock modules are only practice, Rocks v2 will be full 360 models, that's my plan ;]
PogoP - Thank you Liam!, You inspired me to post something on Polycount
hey man! nice Looking rocks you got there. Those sculpts...jiz!! What are you going to use these for? My only crit is that textures are a bit too noisy. The hues are all over the place. Yet not sure how big these things are or how you plan to use them. Either way, keep up the good work!

EDIT:
ok... got carried away here a bit. maybe not strictly a fap material, but seriously man, those are some properly done sexy zbrush stones. nice work.
Nice sculpts.
Did you start this thing from scratch in zbrush or bring in a basemesh?
The small "shelfing" details are amazing.
