Sketchbook: SpiderFingers
My first post, is something I whipped up but never completed entirely.
The idea was to take a cartoon character ie sailormoon, and try to make a 3d representation. I didn't want to go cartoony. or be too literal in my "tribute" to the character. I also decided that if I was going to make her semi realistic I would not make the skirt as impossibly short as the cartoon or make her heels so super high. Those "skirt" things are basicaly a frilly belt and they would have made me laugh if I had kept them super short which can be made to work in a cartoon but hardly in anything attempting to be semi realistic and not utterly laughable. In the end I sort of compromised as you can see.
In retrospect I wish I had recreated her bangs that would have been interesting.
and as this is my first post her I will say in no uncertain terms,
CRITIQUES THAT ARE CONSTRUCTIVE AND USEFUL ARE WELCOME BABBLING DIATRIBES AND INSULTS ARE NOT AND WILL BE IGNORED.
