I haven't been making that much stuff lately, so I decided to make some low poly stuff to get back into practice.
Current batch still needs to be UV mapped and textured. Not sure if I want to use normal maps, do you guys thik I should?

you should look at other hand painted weapons and how they are textured, more scratches, stains, dents etc

That link looks interesting, but it looks like I have to buy a subscription to the site for at least a month. Will it allow me to download the video series off their site, or would I have to either resubscribe or get a longer membership if I wanted to watch this again a few months down the road?

Agreed, to make handpainted textures work you really should paint in lighting information.

I have no clue about handpainting myself, you should look around on the forum for handpainted scenes, a lot of amazing stuff there

he damaged only metal rims which means getting the content out wasn't his goal.
he did it for pure twisted pleasure of hurting others, didn't he?
on a more serious note, barrel could use more edge wear on the top and bottom. at the moment only top part is worn and it still could use more definition.
the texture could also use more variety of hues, but this depends on stylization that you're going for. i'm not very experienced in making hand painted textures but i've seen all kinds of different styles used in them.
