Hey guys thought I would start a thread just to show what I am doing atm! I am trying to get all my stuff ready for when I graduate in May.

I have put the enviro on hold for abit to complete another robot. I want another finished piece so when it comes to jobs my portfolio looks a bit more filled. I made the high poly over summer for a competition over at eat 3d!

Here is the concept -

The low is 14282 tris

just a quick update on the texture still a ton to do! I have just seen HP's version and it looks amazing! I will have to pull something very very special to even get close to that!

Awesome! Cant wait to see the finished texture. Would you be able to post the diffuse texture map in its stages from start to finish. I'm still new to 3d and i find it fascinating and would love to see it.

Hey Dan! Enviro blockout looks promising, excited for you to pick that back up again. Vehicle is looking super nice too, I'd also be interested in seeing some flats!

Hey Darkleopard! Yeah sure I can do that! The flats here are mostly block colour but I have started on making the blue parts look like metal. Also there is a hand painted base metal texture following Racers tut which is here. The video is half way down but the whole page is made of awesome!

Here is the texture there are parts now looking at it that can be improved but I am on a tight deadline!

So I kinda got distracted this weekend and finally made something I have been wanting to make for a while! It's not the most exciting thing to make but its really nice texturing practise, which I need.

I have only touched the back and that is still wip! Also the texture normal is too strong and needs playing around with properly! It was more of a test.

So I have finished the diffuse and will make the spec tomorrow. This shot has no spec. Hopefully will wrap this up and be back on the robot tomorrow!

So I am back working on my environment for a bot before I finish texturing my robot. The cars do not fly past the window because I stupidly did the groups of cars in separate matinee sequences!

I have a ton of stuff to do but yeah onwards!

So I have updates at last! My dissertation has been getting in the way a bit but I have been mainly working on the main room. It is mainly finished so I am going to finish up the corridor and cross section bit. I need to spice up that corridor a bit tbh, but I have an idea!

So I finally finished uni!

Here is my show reel as it stands right now

I have applied to some companies and have had an art test and an interview but have been unsuccessful so far. I figure I have two options, either add some variation and make a couple of more organic scenes or push with the hard surface stuff and make more impressive hard surface stuff. I really prefer making hard surface stuff but I would like to know what you guys thought?

So for now I just going to concentrate on this enviro and then see what happens after that!

Just a quick update, still lots to do like planters, monitors,and the whole of the outside!

Everything here so far is just normals and AO!
