Made as a menu object in an indie game a friend and I are making...



Crits appreciated, I'm going to try hand painted wood grain instead of the photo-sourced one on there currently... will upload when it's done!

first thing that stands out is the lack of construction detail- how is this thing put together? Where are the natural seems like where two pieces of wood are nailed together ? Were you using a specific reference?
Overall color needs some saturation/hue varience.
the "new" logo is too black and lacks imperfections- if this is sprayed on via a template there would be some overspray and spattering etc.

Sorry, should have mentioned that it's still a W.I.P. will be adding plank seams later on, as well as playing with the saturation/hue variance (thanks Dan :P)

I'm not a big fan of the spray paint spatter, I think it's over used, but It's been mentioned by more than a few people, so I'll make it happen!
