This will be my journey on trying to learn 3Ds Max, having already 3 years of experience in Maya...I have found it so far probably the most annoying change in programs - from navigation to customization...

Here is my 1st issue that came up

- When trying to create a primitive - in Maya you just click on it and it appears at the origin 0 0 0 ...so I figured I'd do a keyboard entry - I tried to give it a 1x1 unit - which in theory is supposed to be the size of 1 grid unit...
-Why is it so small?

I changed it to inches and back again it always comes out the same way...

So Then I made a 10x10...and tried to apply an image to it and the UVS double in size with the primitive...wth? I checked the UVS and it goes outside of 0/1 space...by 10...So I increased the size in the coordinates in the material editor to the same size as the plane...

are all these things normal?

in Maya no matter what size you make your primitive - your UVS stay the same...in the 0/1 space...

is there a work around? where you create a plane and the UVS don't change depending on the size of the plane?
