hi,
for some time now I have been looking for a fast and convienent way of baking ambient occlusion maps in maya, because I want to use them as base for my textures. however apparently I have to set up the AO shader, which is not that much work ok, but still annoying if you have various objects and since a friend of mine told me that there is a one-click solution to that in blender I thought it should be possible in maya too.
so far I haven't found anything satisfactory. what I like to do is select the object, press a button and take a sip of my coffee, open the file in photoshop and continue. is there a script or plugin, anything like this and I am just missing it or should I just try to build sth. by myself.
