testing it out, haven't had a crash yet but the hard coded navigation is a bitch, wish they would just use maya style nav, and the keys for manipulators are weird, wish they would have just done the QWER like every other app.
the viewport nav wtf, it's like maya that it uses alt+mouse buttons but they got what each mouse button does all flipped around, so it makes you really fight muscle memory bad
hexagon was one of the contendants against silo and modo on its days. I tried the first version like with modo, and silo, but i ended using modo due to its better perfomance.
It's a great and easy to use app, though. No crashes here.
I'm watching a few tutorials on it and I really like the look of the interface and ... what's the catch? Why have I never heard of this modeling app? It certainly LOOKS capable...
Blazier: they were great days, when Silo was actually being developed and modo was being plain awesome. it really looked like there was a revolution going on in the 3D modelling world.

Modo is still be actively developed and works well, aside from a few things, but silo is dead.

I'm not really sure what they were planning/thinking at the time as it doesn't really fit into the rest of their products very well.

I think they wanted to supply their content creators with a modelling app closely integrated with their posing app.
nothing so exciting though. guess its just me being nostalgic
