Zbrush Hard+Smooth surface when sub-div ??

So i'm having difficulty subdividing my pillar and keeping it round, but also keeping the edges hard in certain places. I know I could create a "control edge" in 3dsmax, but that would make those edges too dense after I sub-div it. Is there a plug-in for zbrush 4.0 thats like the SmoothGroupImport ?

I found this tutorial for zbrush4.0 + 3ds but when it gets to page 12 "Go to the Zplugin menu and navigate to Crease Groups - Crease PolyGroups" I don't have that plug-in. Nor can I find anything about it on the web, its like he just made it up loll.

Should I be using "crease" (in the geometry tab)? I tried using that but it creased all the vertical lines as well as the horizontal. But maybe i'm just not using it right...



So.. What is it that I need to be doing? Any help would be much appreciated :)



I've tried googleing this question but they're all either using Maya or an older zbrush so they're no help.
