Yes, I believe its because HDTV's have some 'true black' feature so movies (and maybe games, dunno) have far richer blacks instead of dull ones. Its to do with depth I think.

Deal with it mate. It is far more relevant to us than lolcats (even taking into consideration that this is Polycount.) Sometimes I feel things deserve their own thread like in this instance or when someone makes a fucking awesome cock rig video featuring sweeeet deformation. Other people are enjoying it, if you can't, move along, no need to ruin it for others. Feel free to report it if it really irks you, but as a mod has posted in the thread already, not sure if it'll get closed or not. Not to mention its far more relevant to us as a group than 'I got a jerb' threads, if you want to talk about needless clutter... ever made on of those threads?

That fucking After Effects ping at the end makes my stomach turn. Posted this vid on my fb wall and that was also what other people commented on lol. Always seemed to have horrible deadlines when it came to After Effects work. Soul destroying.
