Blizzard Entertainment is looking for an exceptionally skilled and motivated Character Implementation Artist for a team focused on next-generation massively multiplayer online games. The ideal candidate has experience retopologizing high poly assets, baking normal and AO maps, setting up shaders and problem solving game engine issues.
Requirements
• Experience in game development modeling and texturing characters using Maya, Zbrush and Photoshop (or equivalent 3D and 2D programs)
• A strong understanding of retopologizing assets with clean edge flow, creating optimized UV’s, baking clean normal and Ambient Occlusion maps
• Experience Implementing Characters into a game engine
• Ability to create complex shaders within a game engine
• Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude
• Excellent technical problem-solving skills
Pluses
• Rigging experience
• Knowledge of cloth simulations
• Have shipped AAA PC or console titles as a 3D character artist
• Understanding of Blizzard’s visual style and a passion to push it to the next level
