That's a great looking gun! I don't really see anything to crit geometry wise, in regards of fidelity to the subject - maybe the indents in the grip around mag release are a bit too deep, but maybe not.
I know that I been lazy with this gun. But right now Im at this stage that I dont like to look at it no more.. but I know few things can really change it..

Tons of stuff for Max there, which can be applied to Maya, but there's even a Maya-specific tut, too.

I gave it a go just a quicky and this is what I got!
The render looks good! I know it was quick but a darker background would probably help I think.
