You know you can post those all in one post. But also your textures look like there is only one color. Add some grunge layers and just some general variation in your textures.
Yeah, kinda figuring polycount out haha. Sadly I overwrote this file and the backup went corrupt I believe. I will design another using coals in the fire pit for better realism.
I didn't mark it a work in progress but it was. I had yet to texture the wall dressers, wood and walls. Thank Knight.
Good to see you posting bro! I like the silhouette of your creature, but I think you should define his muscle structure a bit more before jumping to the skin wrinkles and scale textures.
I agree with daphz. I would highly suggest finding some T-Rex/various dinosaur muscle anatomy and referencing from that before moving on. Your creature is very dinosaur like, so maybe work in some scales too. Here's some good reference for details once you get there.
dpaynter26: I see. Its a work in progress. I should have labeled it as such. I was not to happy with the head yet but I wanted to get something posted. It is very tall on top and wide. Thanks

Tablets had precious documents that had great value to a mass, and was meant to be shown throughout many ages. I could have just named it "my stuff".
on another note, I dropped the dino project for the vigil weapon contest. I don't see myself picking it up again. your right about the muscles, thank you. Terrabite and daphz also suggested that, but i'm moving on. I will keep it in mind for my next project like that.
First thing i realize is that your diving in to too many topics and not fully understanding one. i see characters, environment, props etc. I would really focus on one more so then the others.
ill wait for your reply on this and when you do, ill provide the necessary advice.
Dammit! its really difficult Striker. I am much more comfortable with environments, but most the friends I know in this field, and polycount model characters. The streams are teaching me so much, but its character based, which is so awesome. I feel like I can model out props and environments with much more ease. I feel more relaxed. I am honestly simply looking at you guys work and a few others to get my characters going. I am going to be doing more environment and props.
If you want to make environments and props, then stick with those. There are lots of people on Polycount that do environment art. I would suggest finding a piece of environment concept art and recreating it in 3d, textured and game-ready.
What I mean is, people doing environments are doing UDK contests in the forums, I've been to. Does anyone know who uses UDK, i have played with it for a while and I know a few game companies use it.
yeah Brian is right, tons of developers use UDK; it's pretty user friendly, and capable of a lot, and there's already tons of documentation on it. Unity is also an option, it may not be as fancy but its still capable of a lot, and has a decent amount of tutorials. The Cryengine is also free now, it's super fancy, looks amazing, but the documentation is rough and in my experience at least it isn't that user friendly.
badass!! thanks guys. I have seen employers asking for people knowing unity, but I have messed around with UDK a bit before. I will pick it up again. However, eat3d has a pretty in depth guide, it seems of the cryengine here http://eat3d.com/cry3_intro_vol1. I'm not sure which one would be best, i had a bit of trouble with UDK, doing it solo, but maybe things will be different this time around or maybe I should try cryengine or Unity. Any opinions on this?

W.I.P.
Other then that looking nice. look at dino ref for muscles tones
His head seems too tall from the front and too wide from the side, I would focus on some more anatomy reference but you're getting there keep going
