Another technical question (Maya) !

Hello again dear community :),

I have returned to once again bid thee answers to my lofty quests... :\

This question is related to a function I would like to know how to achieve in Maya (if it exists?) which I can achieve easily in 3ds max. Plug-ins are welcome!

The questions is as follows: Is there a way to toggle 'show edge distortion' in the UV editor in Maya, the way it is possible to do so in the 3ds max UV editor? (See below)

Thanks in advance!

p.s. please don't mention the checker pattern :P.

Correct me if I'm wrong (not max user), but is this Show Edge Distortion trying to show how uv ratio is in between each other?

IF it is, the answer is: nope, Maya doesn't, although automatically you can layout your uv's and a set a correct ratio on everything. Which is better since you don't have to scale them manually.

You are correct. That's a great tip, thanks a lot. I just tried it and it works flawlessly :).

Roadkill Pro has a real time shader for Maya that does this, unfortunatly it's not really findable anymore. I'm surprised no one has made a free script/shader that does this yet, as it's obviously possible.
