Hi there,
I'm new to this forum, been looking through it for a long time though
Haven't done anything in 3D for a couple of months, now it's time to pick it up again. Wanted to post this on this forum, to get some new feedback from other / more people, before starting work on it again.
So, my latest piece is this AK 103, you may recognise if you're visiting game-artist.com too. It's textured and all, but I'm not happy with it. Thinking to start all over again soon.
Here's what it looks now. I don't think it has the right metal look. Been playing with spec/gloss etc. this evening for fun, made multiple contrasts.
Nr. 1 looks most natural.
Nr. 2 has the right black color, but the details aren't visible that way.
Nr. 3 has lights in scene, most detail visible, but looks too 'gray' to me.
Also the stock, which should be kinda rubber, needs to be improved.
This is my first complicated model with complicated textures, so I'll still need a lot to learn. Any crits or help is appreciated

I think now you should concentrate on making this AK your own. Though about a few accessories, i know its standard issue but....
How about a drum mag and bipod? instantly turning into a LMG, bayonette.
Just something that will put YOUR stamp on this stamped gun!
Laser / scope would be cool, however bipod and drummag is also an interesting expansion.
Spec is indeed something that needs some work!

Well I'm no expert in (fire)weapons, but there are some visual differences
AN94
AK103
They're both russian though and also seems to fit the same customisable assets...
otherwise looking good, well done
