Hey!
As a native 3ds max user heavily under the influence of said applications mechanics, I have a question regarding a function I want to exploit in Maya.
The problem revolves around being able to select multiple edge rings at once and applying an edge split (Maya). In 3ds max, the action can be achieved by selecting the edge loop (see below), then pressing 'ring' and then using 'connect' to apply the edgeloop(s).

In Maya, I attempted to select an edgeloop, then go into the 'select edgeloop and split' option, however it only commits an edgeloop to one ring. If anyone knows how to apply this function onto each ring at once without having to repeat it onto each edgering, I would be very curious to hear as to how it's done.

Thanks in advance,
