Who else is going to buy a gazillion of these things? If it lives up to the hype, it's going to be really cool. I can see myself using one at work, at home for a media center, traveling, presentations, etc. I think the whole education angle is a great one for them to take too. It's going to a really accessible device, and for the money, why not get one and monkey around with it?

For the size weight and cost, these would be awesome to pack into a radio controlled plane or a quad rotor.

Seeing stuff like this almost makes me miss my old workplace. Where I had a workbench, tools and a soldering iron to play with hardware like this.

These are so cheap, I bet a ton of people are going to be experimenting and modding these. Maybe it's time to start a new one! The creators even said it's main purpose is education and accessibility.

Did you ever create anything? The farthest I got was completing a robot kit I bought online. Lol.

I used to work in hardware repair. So the the closest thing I got to creating things was 'creative repairing' when we didn't have replacement parts and an angry customer.

They are claiming the CPU/GPU performance should be better than the Iphone 4S.
It blows my mind that computers have become this small and cheep.

It certainly get's you wondering why prices are what they are. I feel like desktop part prices are somewhat fair, but I feel hand-held gadget prices have to be marked up at least 400%. I think my Droid 3 retails at $500 without a new service plan contract... $500! $500 can build me a pretty decent gaming desktop!

I think at least for iphones and stuff the most costly thing in it is the display and the digitizer.
If you have an ipod 4G and you brake either of those two you can go and buy a new one(these parts cost about the same with repair fees)
