Hello! I've been trying to do some terrain using height maps in maya but have encountered a problem. The displacement on the plane Im using is REALLY small. Its sometimes just a small bump, it varies from different height maps. I have lots of subdivisions on my plane and have tried 2 different ways of achieving the displacement.
First was to use the sculpt geometry tool and importing a height map. I set the max displacement to 10 but the displacement was barely visible.
The secod try i made a hypershader and implemented a displacement node. After I had assigned my new hypershader to my plane I used the Displacement to polygons tool but it only gave me lots of faces and almost no displacement at all...
Do you have any idea of what i should do?
