Hi!!
I am testing particles into Maya 2009.
Usually creating particles directly into a game engine or some very targeted software to particle. (TimeLineFX, Illusion...)
Anyway, I am trying to find a way to make the particles animation loop into Maya.
Then I could render 20 frames pictures using it as a sprite sheet.
As very example, you can imagine a particle emitter it starts where it will finish and of course will finish where it should start (it's what I call a perfect FX animation loop)
I tried to play with the Cycle Emission and Cycle Interval but it doesn't do pretty much difference I feel : the particle still starting from nothing and finish on full emission.
Also checked out Google, but there isn't much info about it as very few help it doesn't really work.
Does someone know if it is possible under Maya?
Or should I script myself a looped particle system?
Thanks!!

On Google there is a direct URL to the Maya's documentation :
But it looks very weird, need to save clip etc...
That is really not use when you have to edit each parameter depending of the result etc..
Well it sound weird so far...
I will have to script something to simulate the wished particle effect.
i had a quick google search and it seems this guy has an answer: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=991604
if i have time later i might give it a go myself.
