    Their first game was Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1.

    Yay new Ubi studio in Vacouver! ...oh wait
    Funcom: open studio in Montreal, close studio in Oslo (gotta give them credit for keeping the company afloat though)

    Nothing against new studios, but for a representative list you might want to see who's still around and who (especially of the big studio conglomerates) actually created jobs rather than shifting them around and consolidating them.

    Activision Blizzard in Santa Monica doesn't really count. That's just where the old Activision corporate office was. They just renamed it Activision Blizzard. And they never made games there, so I don't think any development is being done there now.

    Although I do believe there's a QA department there.

    But at any case, it's been there long before 2006.

    Yeah, it's unfortunately the home of the now-defunct Luxoflux. They are however across the parking lot from Treyarch (which is a pretty prominent Activizzard Studio), but they've been around since forever as well.
