So wait, there is another Channel where PCerss' and non PCers' conversation takes place on skype?
Name of the chat please?
It's not skype.
it's on irc.
but we're all grumpy, jaded old men in there. We kick and ban people left and right, and when art talk happens, we change the subject by posting pictures of tits.

hah!
I just want to make sure people understand what their getting themselves into before going. You're always welcomed.
It's just that I always see new people jump in and be like, 'LETS TALK ART!'. and everyone just shuts up.

Indeed you should.
By the way, I am not a "new people," and the question you fear that people may ask, is soo 2 years ago for me.
speaking of 'new people' I've hopped into the irc room on & off since 2003 and I still feel like one of the new guys.
That's pretty much how irc channels have always been. You have to spend a lot of time(without breaks) in order to be accepted as "one of the guys" in most of them. I think most of the people in #model_design are pretty open to new people though as opposed to many other channels I've been going to over the years...
In a way it makes sense though, the guys there are sitting and talking about stuff that happen in their everyday lives(sometimes perhaps a bit of mildly private stuff) just like a normal group of friends would and then some newbie pops in and wants to talk about something different or trying to get into the conversation(which only makes it awkward when none of the other people knows this person).

You will have to speak with a guy named Sythen or LRoy to join that.
Do the Skype thing instead.
We like our irc dark. We don't talk much about art there.
A lot of us are PCers, but there are plenty that are not.
Think of PC as the bar, and m_d as the alley behind the bar.
And bearkub lives in the trash can.

But anyways, good luck.
'new people' in general.
I'm always against posting our irc info here just because it could scare people off.
howdy skank!
