Hi I was trying to work with envelpes etc with a skyrim imported skeleton but it's pretty hard due to the fact that the skeleton is messed up after import ...
here is how it looks looke like the bones are all rotated around but if I rotte back the skinned or rigged items will deform badly ...
is there a way to get a proper alignement of those bones to it's previous correct state?

Two things you can do:
Apply an Edit Poly modifier to each bone and rotate the vertices into place. This won't disturb the pivot, but will allow you to modifier the bone's geometry.
OR
Select all the bones and in the Display Panel, all the way at the bottom, check "Display links" and "Link Replaces Objects". This wont' change anything, but it will turn off the geometry.
